Last week in Sao Paulo, I decided to stroll around and take some pictures, little did I know that this would have turned out into such an adventure, something that I was prepared to do but man, it was so tiring and too much to do, where should I begin, woke up late so had like 4 hours before the sun would set, off I go to the nearest metro, I ran as fast I could, I got there and found myself stuck in the middle of a crowd of people, duh! little did I realize that today was Sao Paulo’s Gay Parade, I was like, where you all going? They told me to Avenida Paulista, well it wouldn’t be bad to take a look but the crowd was so big that getting into the train would have required a lot of pushing and grabbing and it wasn't my thing to do that yet, not after I have woken up, so I decided to take a picture to prove that there were many people, as I did I soon found out that I left my memory stick at my friend’s place. Damn I had to go to hers to pick it up, I did, I went to hers and had a chat with Sandra and then left again, this time there weren’t so many people at my friend’s metro station, as I approached my final destination, I decided to take a picture, bang, I was shocked, I forgot to put the memory card IN my camera, I left at her table, what an idiot, I was fuming and pissed, I had to go back, finally I arrived at the parade, I was kind of relieved, finally I have arrived, there were SO many people, strange people and funny people, people with too much make up or too little wild up, some were dressed quite kinky, some underdress, some were a bit halloweeny, but it was fun, I was following a crowd of people, ate strange food, Brazilian food, somewhere similar to the ones we have in Bolivia but they were a bit different, in a strange way. Drank a couple of beers, walked for like 3 hours, took tones of pictures and walked back to my hostel, tired as hell and hungry as a dog. Today was a day to remember, today I walked like never, I have been pushed and squashed, I have been shoved around just for a few pictures, man, the crazy things I do for my camera.
